Chalices and Vessels
For the bowls I used cross-sections of tree trunks that had an interesting profile. This is against common orthodoxy as these cross-sections usually split rather dramatically. The few included here are miraculously ones that have not; a piece of holly, which was from a junction of branches, a piece of ash where I left a ring of bark in place, the third is from a trunk of hornbeam, a dense tight-grained wood with an unusual profile.
